planning

These are my expectations (at the moment) of what I will see on the Camino.

The information is based on the web sites listed on the home page of this blog, as well as the following books:

  • "The French Way" The Pilgrims' Ways to Santiago in Galicia
  • "Camino de Santiago: To Walk Far, Carry Less.    Jean-Christie Ashmore
  • "Your Camino"    Sylvia Nilsen with Greg Dedman
Some things to see are:
  • Biakorra, a statue of the Virgin Mary halfway between St Jean Pied de Port and Roncevalles.
  • University of Navarre in Pamplona
  • The pilgrim statue between Obanos and Puente la Reina marks the convergence of the two Caminos – the Camino Frances and the Camino Aragones from Somport
  • Burgos cathedral
  • Cruz del Ferro  Iron cross just west of Foncebadon. Pilgrims often unburden themselves of symbolic stones here.
  • Finisterre
Via Podiensas from Le Puy
