I think the Church has fallen into the trap of putting too much focus on youth events and ignoring it's older members as if they're no longer relevant or only there to help out at youth events.
Has the Church dummed down it's teaching to appeal to youths? I think by copying Anglican and evangelical youth initiatives we've focused on a much simpler "Jesus loves you" message and we've certainly dummed down music to appeal to a younger audience.
A bit of nonsense? Not at all! The youth may be the future, but we are the present. Take care of the present and the future will take care of itself. Regards Chris.
