The enthusiastic maker of this flat white invention told me that she uses a 50/50 mixture of cream and milk to make it very sweet, and they also use a double shot of coffee to make it very strong. So it is strong and sweet.
Since returning to Australia, I have not had a flat white.... I have either a caffe latte or a macchiato. Sometimes the first is the same as a flat white, except that it is served in a glass instead of a cup. The investigation continues.....
It looks Australian to me!
