Bains

I'm in a little village called Bains waiting for the pizza oven to be warmed up in the pub.
This was my first day walking and I planned an easy day of 10km. My right knee has been hurting recently but it is getting better and is now 95% ok
I might try going a little further tomorrow.

  1. I understand that "Bains" is derived from Old French, meaning "baths". Perhaps there are quite a few there for pilgrims who have just finished their first day walking. regards Chris.

  4. Got your text - am pleased to hear the knee held up and that you now have internet connection again. How is this route comparing to the Spanish experience so far? The Sea Eagles surprisingly won last night, First I rang Chris to commiserate and then Paul M to help him bask in their reflected glory. Now Paul and I are off to the Grand Final next Sunday, 7.30pm at the Olympic Stadium (I thought of asking my kindly older brother whether or not he wanted to use his two tickets and he said I could have them). Altho I'm normally not an active supporter of theirs I do get excited when they get to the Grand Final becauise of my connection to a player, Wendy H and the coach via my years at NN school.

Good walking tomorrow!!! Are you having to speak French? Elaine

    1. Trying a bit of French. I have to get some value from all those years of lessons from Rex King and Emmet Costello.
