Went to 8pm Mass at St Bartholomew's at Astorga. An exotically decorated church, but just an ordinary daily Mass. For some reason it struck me that this ordinariness unites people in different countries and unites the living and the dead.

Dag Paul, nice to visit the Sancto Bartolemeo church in Astorga. Indeed the altar retables in Spain are mostly overloaded with gold. Conquering the world at that time was looking for Eldorado. Still a common drive for most people now all over the world. But what is the value of one ounce in heaven ? Bart
