Random observations

1) On the outskirts of Burgos, the Google car drove past. I must check Google street view for Calle Vitoria to see if I can see myself.

2) I have met several people from Korea on the Camino. I have been told that a Korean woman has written a book about the Camino, which might explain the interest.

3) the Camino is a strange experience. It is hard to plan your progress, and it seems that the less you plan, the more things happen.

  1. The location of the blog post says Castrojeriz. If so, it looks like you've made good progress. I guess you can only spend so much time talking to people on the Camino about back packs and blisters. Eventually you're just left to your own thoughts and it becomes more like a retreat.

  2. You're getting great photos -must be pleased with your choice of camera. I wonder how quickly Google Earth updates images? I've never seen the Google car myself - how extraordinary to be in just the right spot in farawy Spain when it passed! Doe sit have multiple cameras on its roof so it's very obviously the GOOGLE car?? Am especially thinking of John M and family today. The rainbow is a beautiful symbol to connect with him. Elaine

  5. Yes, I went through Castrojeriz yesterday, it is 10km east of here.
Most of the conversations with other pilgrims happens over meals, not much while walking.

  7. Tonia has kindly put a map and distances on her blog, I'm never quite sure of distances because I never seem to have enough time to check the guidebooks.
